High-quality weather forecasts, early warning systems, and climate information – hydromet – play a foundational role for climate action and sustainable development. Yet large gaps exist in hydromet capacities in developing countries, many of whom are on the front lines of climate change. The event will present the findings of the first Hydromet Gap Report and the recommendations for priority actions, including the creation of the Systematic Observations Financing Facility.
